Mark 5:36-43
36 Overhearing[a] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” 37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” 40 But they laughed at him. After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.

Spending Time with God/Communion
Every expression of God’s Kingdom starts with communing with the Father. He is the source of life and only He has the ability to prompt you to move and empower you in the supernatural. Jesus was empowered with the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:38) and we must spend time with the Father in communion if we are to hear and know his heart.

Why Mary is commended by Jesus
(Luke 10:38-42) This is why it’s so important to be a Mary over a Martha. Mary was poised for revelatory and thus supernatural works because of her position. Martha on the other hand was poised for only natural works.

Acts 4:13
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

Jesus would get up very early and go to a solitary place to pray. I believe during this time, According to Hebrews 5:7, “[Jesus] offered up definite, special petitions [for that which He not only wanted [a]but needed]

From this base of communion with the Heavenly Father all other operations were flowing. While praying and studying God’s word, we train ourselves to recognize God’s voice so when he speaks again we don’t wonder if that’s him but we are trained to the frequency of heaven, having courage to step out into what seems irrational.

Revelation - Apokalupto
  1. to uncover, lay open what has been veiled or covered up disclose, make bare
  2. to make known, make manifest, disclose what before was unknown
  3.
The Rock of Revelation

Jesus is the Christ

Luke 2:28-32
28Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying: 29“Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss[d] your servant in peace. 30For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31which you have prepared in the sight of all people, 32a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.”

Jesus, Fully God and Fully Man

The revelation God gives you will often seem irrational to others or even yourself. This is a big test  and many fall away here.
  • Are you really hearing the Lord?
  • Am I crazy?
  • What will people think?
  • What if God doesn’t do what I think he’s telling me he’s going to do?
One of the biggest problems with moving out beyond revelation and getting to declaration is having a greater fear or respect for God than you do man. All this can be dealt with through communing with God.

Fear of the Lord
It can be taught and thus caught

Psalm 34:11
Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD .

Psalm 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools [ The Hebrew words rendered fool in Proverbs, and often elsewhere in the Old Testament, denote one who is morally deficient. ] despise wisdom and discipline.

Sin in the life of the believer will “clog” the communication lines between God and you. Sometimes this will make us want to hide in a Martha ministry; working but not wanting to give up sin, maybe even using the good works to justify the wrong position of our hearts.

Psalm 66:18
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;

I believe this is one of the primary reasons God hates sin and Jesus told many to stop sinning. God wants a relationship and a clear line of communication with you so he can move you to do his will, even his supernatural will. Everything to God is natural. We are the one’s who separate the natural from the supernatural.

Revelation is a Key to Heaven

Peter's Confession of Christ

Matthew 16:13-20
13When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”    14They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”    15“But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” 16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ,[b] the Son of the living God.”    17Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter,[c] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[d] will not overcome it.[e] 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[f] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[g] loosed in heaven.” 20Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.

Being able to clearly hear God’s voice is the foundation upon which all other kingdom activity must be built. If we are to be a church of power and relevance in a society of humanistic sin, tolerant, and lost people, we must be able to hear God’s voice.

Verbalization

Matthew 17: 19–20
19Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn't we drive it out?”    20He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

So we flow from communion to revelation to verbalization to manifestation.

Have you ever heard a referee say, “I call it like I see it?” I have. In life we have two concurrent realities going on. We have the circumstantial realities that most people can see, but then we also have heavenly realities that many don’t seem to see.

I believe these last three steps, revelation, verbalization, and manifestation, can happen all together in seconds.

God spoke to Jesus and told him by revelation that the Girl was not dead, she was asleep. A very irrational reality from the perspective of all the mourners. So irrational that they laughed at him. He sends them out perhaps because their thoughts, ideas, and feelings about the situation are affecting him.

But Jesus verbalized the revelation even though I’m sure his natural mind knew it was irrational. However, he heard the voice of the Father, which trumps rational thought. Jesus is not running his “own program”

John 5:19
Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

The girl is raised from the dead when he tells her “Little Girl, I say to you, ‘Get Up!’” At the moment when heaven and earth intersect there is no communal prayer time. That has already happened earlier. There is not one single example of communal prayer in the New Testament that brings about a healing at the intersection of heaven and earth.

I’m 100% for prayer. I believe it’s foundational for us to know and recognize the voice and will of God. However, once this is known we should be declaring His plan and will over situations if we want to see the manifestation of Heaven. Not simply lip service but revelatory release. So many in the Body of Christ are not doing this but many are awakening to the supernatural components of the Christian life.

Conclusion:
  • Communion
  • Revelation
  • Declaration
  • Manifestation
  • Duplication
Duplication
Jesus invites three men to be with him during this process. These three men will catch what is going on here to such an effective level they begin to do what Jesus did.

Acts 3:3-7
3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. 4 Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” 5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. 6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.

John 10:10b (KJV)
I am come that they might have life, (zoe) and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10b (NIV)
I have come that they may have life (zoe), and have it to the full.

John 10:10b (Amplified)
I came that they may have and enjoy life (zoe), and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

John 10:10b (MSG)
I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.

Thesis:
The abundant life that Jesus offers us in John 10:10 will cause the believer to very closely resemble the life that Jesus lived on the Earth; including godly character and Holy Spirit manifestations.

I don’t believe John 10:10 is talking about the American dream.

The American dream is a national ethos of the United States in which freedom includes the opportunity for prosperity and success, and an upward social mobility achieved through hard work.

I’m pro freedom, opportunity, prosperity, success, and rewarded hard work.  I believe these are national opportunities due to the type of nation we live in.  I do see a distinction, however, between the abundant life Christ offers and achieving “The American Dream.”

Outline:
1. Jesus came to give us life to the full.
2. Jesus came to destroy the works of the evil one.
3. Jesus did not come to bring peace but polarizing truth that creates division.

Zoe life includes the idea of the present sojourn of man upon the earth with reference to its duration.

Zoe Life

John 1:4
In Him was life, and that life was the light of men.

One of the great concepts of the Gospel of John is life.  The Greek word for “life” is found 36 times in John, while no other NT book uses it more than 17 times.  Life is Christ’s gift and He is “the life”.

I. Jesus Came to give us life to the full.

What exactly does abundant life (zoe) look like?

A. Zoe
Zoe is used in the New Testament as life as God has it, that which the Father has in Himself, and which He gave to the Incarnate Son to have in Himself.

John 5:26
For as the Father has zoe in Himself, so He has granted the Son also to have zoe in Himself.

The believer, by abiding, remaining, and putting their roots into Christ, can stay attached to this life source and flourish spiritually.

John 15:5
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

B. Darkened understanding caused by ignorance from a hard heart cuts people off from this life.

Eph. 4:18
They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life (zoe) of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

The enemy blinds the minds of unbelievers keeping them from the truth.

2 Cor. 4:4
4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

C. People can become partakers of zoe (life) through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ

John 3:15
15 that everyone who believes may have eternal life (zoe) in him.

Faith is the key that unlocks zoe life for the individual.

Believing, trusting, and placing your hopes in Christ opens the channel of flow from God to you so you can receive this abundant life God promises.

D. Jesus Christ is the author of (zoe) life.

Acts 3:15
15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

E. Jesus Christ is the life of the believer

Colossians 3:4
When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.

Christ is the example of zoe life. Christ is to be our lives.

F. The Zoe life that Christ gives, He also maintains.

John 6:35,63
35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

Colossians 1:17
17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

G. There is a false life and a true life.

By taking material possessions and being generous, we can take hold of the life that is truly life.

1 Timothy 6:19
In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Thesis:
The resurrection of Christ has direct and immediate implications on the daily life of the faithful believer and those relationally connected to the believer.

Outline:
1. We are saved by believing that Jesus was raised from the dead
2. Death has been overcome
3. The Spirit of God gives life to our bodies
4. Resurrection Power for Us

1. We are saved by believing that Jesus was raised from the dead

Romans 10:9,10
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

What does it mean to be saved?

Sōzō
1 a: to save b: to heal c: to deliver
2: to save a suffering one, to make well, heal, to deliver from penalties of judgment.          *saved/healed/delivered

Sōzō translated 'Saved'

Acts 2:47
47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Sōzō translated 'Healed'

Matthew 9:22
22 Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.

Sōzō translated 'Delivered'

2 Timothy 4:18
18And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

2. Death has been overcome

1 Cor. 15:54-57
“Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Because Christ was raised, defeating death, we have assurance that one day, we will also be resurrected. He is the first fruits of the resurrection.

3. The Spirit of God gives life to our bodies

Romans 8:11
11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

4. Resurrection Power for Us

Unbelief
Unbelief is the biggest enemy to seeing the following truth’s manifest in our lives. In the same way God told the Israelites they could take the promised land and they didn’t believe it, is the same way you can hear what I’m getting ready to tell you and you won’t believe it. You may say amen with your head but do you really believe what I’m getting ready to tell you in your heart. It’s God’s word and truth!

Because Jesus obeyed his father unto death, even death on the cross, He was raised from the dead and he’s now seated in heavenly places above all rule and dominion.

Resurrection Power for Us

Ephesians 1:18-23
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Ephesians 2:6
6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
A. The eyes must be enlightened or this reality is not perceivable. (he who has ears to hear)
     1. Hope that he’s called us to
         a. Hopeless people are powerless people, they can’t change their circumstances.
     2. Riches of his glorious inheritance
     3. Incomparably great power for us who believe

B. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead
     1. The resurrection power of God seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
     2. far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and
     3. Above every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
     4. the fullness of Christ fills everyone in the Church in every way.

As believers in Jesus Christ we need our eyes opened to the resurrection power that’s available to us today. Is there something in your life from the enemy that’s harming you, hurting you? The Bible promises that Christ and thus you, by virtue of the covenant, are higher than this name.
* Disease
* Demons

Conclusion:
The resurrection of Christ has direct and immediate implications on the daily life of the faithful believer and those relationally connected to the believer.
